Safeguarding

Hobix is a marketplace for children's activities, so safeguarding comes first.

What we check

• Teachers self-declare and upload an enhanced DBS certificate and public liability insurance. Hobix reviews both by hand before the Verified badge appears. Expiry dates are tracked and the badge is removed when a document lapses.
• Parents (adults, 18+) are the account holders. Children never have accounts.

What we expect of teachers

• Appropriate adult-to-child ratios and a named safeguarding lead at every session.
• Photos of children only with the consent recorded on the booking.
• Medical and emergency details used only for the session.
